Location: Finding Us

Gingers Creek is a five hour drive north of Sydney. Take the Wauchope exit off the Pacific Highway and follow the Oxley Highway west to the Mountains. We are approximately one hour's drive or ride from Wauchope.

Return via Walcha and the scenic Thunderbolts Way via Gloucester (all tar now) to Sydney - the combination of the Oxley and the Thunderbolt's way has become popular with both road bike riders and tourists. Make Gingers Creek your half way point for an overnight stop over.

Description

Gingers Creek is positioned on the Great Dividing Range, just below the tablelands. We are the only free hold property in the area and are surrounded by the Doyles River State Forest, Cottanbimbang National Park and Werrikembe Wilderness.

Access is via the Oxley Highway - we are exactly half way between Walcha and Wauchope. The property has acted as a food supply and 'half way' stop over for travellers since the 1880's and has a fascinating history - supplying all sorts of people who travelled the Oxley from gold diggers to drovers, bullockys, bushrangers and tourists.
